MARY RIVER HOUSEBOATS

You can’t beat a holiday on a houseboat at Corroboree Billabong for an experience to remember all your life. This pristine area is home to a huge variety of wildlife. You have access to the entire river at your leisure.

Birds include large Jabirus, sea eagles, ibis and multitudes of whistling ducks and magpie geese. Migratory birds can be seen and heard. The area is famous for its concentration of saltwater crocodiles and it’s a favourite barramundi fishing spot.

Corroboree Billabong is part of the Mary River floodplain and becomes a protected place for wildlife once the wet season floodwaters recede.

The experience of being in this environment with the freedom of your own floating accommodation with all mod cons, is magical. It’s a great opportunity to spend time with friends or family.

Houseboats range in size from 6 berth to 8 berth and include showers, gas barbeques, fridges, double suites, single bunks and more. Party boats suit up to 10 people and a Jumbo Party boat up to 20.

And there’s leisure boats and dinghies for fishing or exploring the smaller channels.

Mary river houseboats operate from mid April to mid October
