DIDGERIDOO HUT & ART GALLERY
Set on the junction of the Stuart and Arnhem Highways, the Didgeridoo Hut & Art Gallery specialises in Aboriginal art and promoting Aboriginal artists. Often artists can be seen sitting here on the verandah painting. Aboriginal artists are happy to share their stories with visitors and give an insight into Indigenous culture.
There are numerous distinctive paintings exhibited as well as decorated boomerangs and woven baskets. Traditional Indigenous artwork includes smaller pieces, great for a holiday memento, to larger collectable artworks, all at competitive prices.
Aboriginal artists paint in different styles, depending on their country and cultural stories. See website for profile of artists and their paintings.
Didgeridoos displayed range from a simple “play for fun” style to crafted didgeridoos for serious players. The wood tones make a beautiful instrument, worthy of any decor.
There are genuine Australian souvenirs and birds and animals to make friends with.
