PIGEON RACES

Pigeons cross many kms of dry arid land on their way home. Conditions were ideal – fine and cool, but a cold weather front with rain approached, slowing their progress.

No birds were clocked on Saturday, with members having late nights and early watches, waiting for the leaders. (Race times stop half an hour after dusk and begin half an hour before dawn).

Bails took the Cadney Park Race and was declared the winner. Crtsy Whyalla News
