BILL ALLEN LOOKOUT

There’s a platform with plaques all around it, which give you a good idea of the landmarks and lie of the land.

There’s plenty of parking.

Landmarks include:
     Northern Star Headframe, Battery Hill

     Eldorado Mine, the largest producer of
      gold in the area

     Nobles Knob – the largest open-cut mine
      in the Territory

     Peko Mine, named after the mine
      owner’s dog

     Overland Telegraph Station 11 kms

     Mount Samuel (Marla Marla)

     Devils Marbles (Karlu Karlu)

     The Pebbles (Kunjarra)

     Mary Ann Damn Recreational Lake



The lookout is named after a well-known local identify Bill Allen.
