The Mataranka Rural Transaction Centre performs a number of services including:
Tourist Information,
Post Office,
Internet Centre,
Office Services
Medicare and Centrelink access
There's newspapers, magazines, greeting cards, phone cards and power cards.
The Museum of the Never Never is at the rear and you can pick up a leaflet from here which will guide and explain more about the exhibits. The museum covers early days of Mataranka.
Mataranka Library is next door and has a good range of books for adults and children and children's games and toys.
Mataranka hosts the annual "Back to the Never Never Festival" each year in May – enquiries: neverneverfestivalmataranka@gmail.com
and the "Bushman's Carnival Rodeo, Campdraft and Gymkhana" each year
