CHATSWOOD ART STUDIO & GALLERY
Chatswood Art Studio and Gallery derives its name from "Chatswood" a vineyard at Stanley Flat, north of Clare where Pat grew up.
Pat developed an appreciation of the desolated abandoned farmhouses she depicts so well, that are dotted throughout Yorke Peninsula and the Flinders Ranges.
Many of Pat’s works capture South Australia’s colourful skies with the soft light of autumn and winter.
Living all her life on a farm, Pat has a keen eye for farmyard scenes. Flowers are also a passion, especially irises. Pat’s garden around the studio is a treat. Orchids are in bloom from August to December.
Pat has loved to paint since childhood, but it was not until 1972 that she had her first professional lessons from master artist Leonard Bence. Over the years, Pat has become proficient in different mediums including watercolours, ink washes, pastels, acrylics and mixed media.
Pat contributes to York Peninsula’s Art Exhibitions and her work is on display at “The Farm Shed” in Kadina. Pat does all her own framing.
Paintings are very well priced. It's a great opportunity to aquire an original landscape.
Commissions are welcome. Pat can capture your house or favourite scene on canvas from a photograph.
Since retiring from the farm, husband Colin has enjoyed woodwork, turning out beautiful Australian timber gifts and souvenirs.
