CEDUNA ABORIGINAL ARTS & CULTURE CENTRE

Quality indigenous and non indigenous artwork, artefacts and souvenirs.

The Ceduna Arts Centre is Aboriginal owned and sells artwork on behalf of artists involved.

The Ceduna (Tjutjuna) Arts & Culture Centre opened its doors in July 2001 and is a great achievement for for the indigenous community in Ceduna and the Far West Coast region.

It is a valuable outlet and promotional tool for artworks of local people and more isolated communities like Koonibba, Yalata and Oak Valley.

The Centre provides a source of income for artists and a level of economic independence. This has a valuable flow-on effect to Aboriginal Communities.

LANGUAGE CENTRE – an interesting insight into Aboriginal language of the Far West and a vital resource for preserving the endangered languages. It was set up with assistance of the Adelaide University.

Revenue from the Centre goes back into buying new new materials and developing new skills for the artists. The business is innovative and artists also have opportunities to participate in the running of the business.
