MAYNE GALLERY

The Mayne Gallery was established by artist Marilyn Mayne in 1993 to display and promote quality Eyre Peninsula art and crafts.

Paintings, both modern and traditional are on display –  oils, acrylics, watercolours and mixed mediums.

The gallery also showcases:
Beautiful pottery pieces from experienced potters

Exciting and innovative jewellery from a local artist.

Hand painted silks – many with a sea
        theme, fish, seahorses, dolphins,
        penguins etc.

An array of superb hand knits by a
        farmer’s wife.

There is woodwork and many other
        items.

All pieces are for sale and make wonderful gifts.

In November 1998 a fire devastated the gallery. A number of Marilyn’s paintings were destroyed as well as the contributions of 40 artists. What a disappointment!

However, after three months of rebuilding, the Gallery was back in business with wonderful new stock.

Marilyn has won numerous art awards over the years and feels most fortunate to be involved in the work she loves – painting,  displaying arts and crafts and meeting people who call in.

You are most welcome!
