MIDDLEBACK THEATRE


Middleback Theatre is a fully equipped, multi-purpose arts centre that accommodates a diverse range of performing arts, film screenings, conferences and product launches.

It is a good idea for visitors to Whyalla to call in to see what’s on currently, or visit the website: www.countryarts.org.au  While in town, you might be able to enjoy a top show!

Open Tuesday-Friday 10:30am-5:30pm
& 1/2 hour prior to screenings on Saturdays.
Closed Sunday & Mondays.



Country Arts SA presents a superb range of diverse plays, shows and film screenings – drama, comedy, music, dance, equal to city entertainment.

The acoustics, comfortable seating and size of the theatre add to a memorable experience. There is even a sound loop for the hearing impaired.

The orchestra pit can accommodate up to 40 musicians and there are the Yamaha Concert Grand and Yamaha upright pianos.



The foyer showcases local and travelling art and photographic exhibitions from time to time.

The spaciousness, track lighting and licensed bar are ideally suited for exhibitions, press conferences and trade displays.

It can also be transformed into a theatre restaurant with seating for up to 120.


The Whyalla Cinema, a dedicated 210 seat cinema is also available for private screenings and presentations.

Guests at the complex enjoy prompt service at the computerised box office.

There is disabled access and ample car parking.
