ABORIGINAL FINE ARTS GALLERY

The Gallery has works of art by some of the most renowned and celebrated Australian Aboriginal Artists. The large display areas feature many art works and artefacts. New paintings are added constantly.

The gallery has more than 15 years experience collecting art and promoting Aboriginal Artists. Thousands of paintings have been sent overseas. All paintings have full documentation with the Artist's Profile, Authenticity Certificate and story. Delivery is door to door world-wide with Air Express.

The painting featured here is by Walangkura Napanangka, She was born in 1946 at Tjiturulnga, west of Walungurru (Kintore) and was amongst the Pintupi people who walked hundreds of miles to the Ikuntji settlement (Haasts Bluff) in 1956, to access food and water offered at the settlement.

Walangkura began her career with the Kintore-Haasts Bluff collaborative canvas project 'Minyma Tjukurrpa' in 1995. Walangkura has exhibited extensively. Her work is in collections at  the National Gallery of Australia and others. She lives at Kiwirrkura with her husband and fellow artist Johnny Yungut Tjupurrula. She is almost blind and no longer paints.
