on the Pioneer Pathway
The small village of Toodyay in the picturesque valley, has all the charm of a century ago with its friendly village atmosphere and Colonial architecture.
Toodyay was settled in the 1830s after explorers following the Avon River found tracks of cows that had strayed. The Aboriginals called the area “Duidgee” – place of plenty. Today the range of attractions, eateries and accommodation in the town is very appealing for a relaxing getaway. It's just a hour’s drive from Perth.
