Nestled in a prosperous agricultural district of livestock and cereal crops, Wagin is the centre of a thriving Merrino stud industry. The town has stately historical buildings, warmth and charm. The historical museum provides a colourful glimpse of days past.
The Giant Ram was built by residents to acknowledge the contribution of sheep to the district. It dominates the park which includes trees and a picturesque water feature.
Woolorama, the two day agriculture show is staged in early March each year. Thousands came to see and learn, trade and celebrate.
