Pigeons Race from Cadney to Whyalla Aug. 22, 2012
Cadney Park and Marla were the release points of the Whyalla Homing Society completing two races on that weekend.
Race distances were 623 and 703 kms.
THE FLYING SCOTSMAN TOURS AUSTRALIA
The steam locomotive No. 4472 Flying Scotsman toured Australia as part of the bicentential celebrations. Here she is streaking across the desert at Cadney Park. The train is said to be the most famous in the world and was part of the long-distance express London to Edinburgh Flying Scotsman service 392 miles (631 km) in eight hours non-stop.
