Arno Bay is renowned for its fishing. Whiting catches are often excellent, with bag limits of big fish being caught quickly.

During the snapper season charter operators and keen anglers fish far and wide and according to reports very few miss out. Some boaties land their limit in only a few minutes others take a few drops until they locate a school. On more than one occasion boaties have to share some of the catch with sharks.

Caught near Arno Bay, Hayden Klingberg is pictured holding the snapper of a lifetime weighing in at just under 16kg.

This fish had a face only its captor would love! It was caught while on a charter with Fuzzell’s fishing charters.

Silvio Appony landed the last fish of the day on a day out with Fuzzell’s fishing charters in Arno Bay. No one a chance to better his effort.

He hauled aboard a 23lb snapper with minutes to go and as the photo shows he was suitably impressed with his day out with his mates.

While chasing mulloway from a beach near Arno bay Jamie Crawford lip hooked this nice bronze whaler shark measuring 5 feet.

Jamie was using a pilchard for bait and mono trace.

The shark was tagged and released.
