Streaky Bay and surrounding towns are renowned for fishing – whiting, blue crabs, snook, tommies and others.
Good numbers of whiting can often be caught near Cape Bauer.
Matt Guidera of Blue Water Charters has been finding plenty of schools of tuna and is getting the Samson fish spots locked in when fishing out from Venus and Sceales Bay.
Nathan Hebberman of Port Kenny did a trip with Matt earlier this year and is holding a 25-kilo samson fish.

A hot spell certainly brings the anglers out and judging by the accompanying images a good time was had by all.
