Aldgate, Adelaide Hills

Aldgate, is a charming village in the Adelaide Hills with historic buildings and leafy trees and gardens lining one side of the main road. The trees give a spectacular colourful display in autumn and provide a backdrop of green in summer.
Aldgate is situated between Stirling and Bridgewater on the Old Mount Barker Road is only 15 minutes by car from Adelaide.

Aldgate has a shopping centre with a number of cafes, restaurants and hotel, galleries, speciality shops and a supermarket. A range of bed and breakfast establishments offer visitor accommodation in this picturesque area.

Walking trails around leafy streets and parks, (compiled by locals) are of interest, so for a leaflet (complete with mud map), call into The Hut Community Centre at the old Aldgate Railway Station, or ask at local shops.
