Exploring Adelaide

Welcome to

Bethany, Marananga, Seppeltsfield, Grenock, Stockwell, Truro

The Barossa Valley is the largest wine producing area in Australia. Over 500 grape growers, some now sixth generation, supply about 60,000 tonnes of grapes to some 50 wineries each vintage. The Barossa is also famous for its music festivals.

The chateaus and distinctive architecture of the Barossa sets the region apart.

The area was settled by German and English migrants, not long after the first settlers arrived in South Australia. Traditional food recipes have been passed on and traditional dishes are available as well as gourmet foods in the many restaurants and eateries.

The famous Barossa Valley is just to the north of Adelaide, or can be accessed via a scenic drive through the hills.

There are a number of national parks in the area and the Barossa borders onto the Adelaide Hills.
