WEST MacDONNELL RANGES
The MacDonnell Ranges of the Northern Territory, are a 644 km long series of mountain ranges located in the centre of Australia, and consist of parallel ridges running to the east and west of Alice Springs. There are a number of gaps and scenic attractions in the ranges.

Arltunga Historic Reserve
Arltunga Historic Reserve, is the site of the gold mining settlement begun in 1887, the first township in Central Australa. Alluvial gold was discovered in a creekbed and fortune seekers flocked to the site. There is interpretive signage. The Visitor Centre is open 8-5 daily.
